Welcome—I’m Lily, the artist behind Lily Hayes Photography. I’m so glad you’re here. I’m a wife, a mother of 3 boys, and someone who understands just how quickly life moves. My days are filled with AAU basketball, long drives, late nights, and the beautifully chaotic rhythm of motherhood. It’s a season I don’t take for granted because I know firsthand how fleeting these moments truly are.
What Inspired Me
My journey into photography began with my first son. Becoming a mother at a young age changed everything—it gave me purpose, direction, and a desire to hold onto the moments I knew would pass too quickly. From the very beginning, I found myself drawn to preserving the smallest details—his expressions, his innocence, the quiet beauty of everyday life. Through him, I began to understand just how meaningful photographs truly are.

In 2013, during a season of life raising two young boys just 14 months apart, I made the decision to pursue photography wholeheartedly. I taught myself everything—studying lighting, mastering my craft, and learning the business from the ground up. What began as small sessions quickly grew into something much greater, shaped by long nights, persistence, and a deep belief in what I was building. Every step forward was intentional. Every session refined my vision.
